Assistant State Attorney

"I've worked at the State Attorney's Office since 2017 and collaborated with people in every department on a wide variety of cases. The camaraderie is bar none. It makes the long hours worthwhile, as does the feeling of serving your community. Salary is decidedly mediocre with few opportunities for raises despite rapid personnel turnover. However, this makes opportunities for advancement in terms of casework manifold and meteoric. Long term, prosecuting is a vocation. Midterm, prosecuting is a credible entrée into civil litigation. Short term, prosecuting is generic work experience."
