"When I first started working for Startek there was 3 locations in Canada. Now there is none after October 30, 2020. The only way anyone should work at startek is if you exhausted all options, from being a garbage man, to working retail or at other call centers. Startek is the worst. I wasted 12 years of my life there. I wasted a lot of years there. Management has no direction, they play favorites with people,(example: if your chummy with management they will move you up, no matter how good you are or how bad you are), they will kiss your butt until they don't need you, and that is a short time. They would rather put someone who kisses butt, does very little work in management positions, than someone who works hard. The work is strenuous. You have over 5+ programs that crash on a daily basis, and management takes their time in getting those issues resolved. You are expected to know them the back of your hand immediately, and asking questions to anyone they drag you down. They look at you and they give you this look like get away from me. As for the incentives, unachievable for 90% of the building, they make them unreachable for anyone to get, only a few people. The workplace, everyone gets sick, only a few people wash their hands. Time off requests, i booked my holidays for my wedding and honeymoon 6 months in advance. It took them till 3 days before my wedding to get them booked. Any other time off requests, were like tooth and nail, if you couldn't get time off, you took sick days, even though you booked them months in advance. Friendships happen, relationships and marriages have happened at startek. That would be the only good thing. But as i said, apply for every other job before Startek, i cannot stress that enough. Unemployment and welfare maybe stressful but working at startek is so much more stressful. If there is good ratings on this site, its because someone was paid to put it on here."

"I applied twice with this company and also sent emails back like it tells you to. And ALSO called the phone that put with the email to call the Human Resource. YOU think that the number would automatic go into the main office so that you could leave a message. WRONG!!!! It goes directly into that person's home. So here I'm calling this number thinking that it goes into the office at 1:00 am. And the person answers on the other end. IF YOU DON'T WANT people calling, you need to leave hours that YOU are AVAILABLE to talk to. Don't call me and tell me that you are going to pursue other people, when basically it's your FAULT for this."

"They only check for felonies in the two neighboring states. They don't complete an in-depth background criminal screening. Knowing Startek I'm sure they do a "budget friendly" background check. I know we had convicted felons working, including management. Hamilton is going to hate Startek in no time at all."

"I worked for over 3 years with Startek and during that time they were a good place to work. They worked with me on the hours I needed. In the end it was a company policy that made me leave. I would have been a great asset to the company if it was not for the difference in policy."

"While I work for a good team from home, the compensation could be better. The company doesn't reimburse us for our monthly landline phone bills or give any allowances for computer repairs or buying new computers or phone headsets. It's all out of pocket for their at-home workers."
