"Stay away from Star Trac for the near future"

What do you like about working at Star Trac?

"The people, my peers, were great to work with; minus the few exceptions you have to deal with at every job."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The company is letting go of it's workforce, but if you come across as a egotistical know-it-all, you will go far."

What don't you like about working at Star Trac?

"The upper management had no clue concerning the technical challenges or the abilities, and lack thereof, regarding the engineering team; especially the more senior engineer who was promoted to people management for the second time after failing to perform the first go around. No regard for engineering development and only focused on product manufacturing; many field problems, no surprise there. The COO/President was, and still is, a tyrant, trying to run a company via the Steve Jobs school of management; works for Jobs, but just fails miserably at Star Trac."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of the COO and get a President that will lead by example and focus on profits; Star Trac laid-off almost all of the software/electrical engineers, except the one that should be gotten rid of, and has laid-off many outside of engineering. The finacial future of the company is bleak at best."
