"Lack of opportunity to advance my career into management."

"My manager should be more open to having her experienced RN's take on more leadership especially the RN's with BSN's."

"When I worked at NRH is was a good place to be and I felt valued."
What do you like about working at Newman Regional Health?
"I mostly worked Med-Surg-Peds and I loved the post-op patients, because most of the time you took care of them, and you saw them get better and go home. With post-op patients there was a lot of pt. education which I really enjoyed."
What don't you like about working at Newman Regional Health?
"I can't really think of anything except when I finished my degree they wanted to transfer me to another unit, another shift. I lost my seniority and very little wage increase."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Have policies that try to keep long term employees."

"The doctors and nurses worked as a team and it is a great place for learning."

"Learn to do without lunch but you will learn so much from a teaching hospital."

"The supervisors and upper management."

"Treat everyone the same."

What do you like about working at Swedish Covenant Hospital?
"The patients."
What don't you like about working at Swedish Covenant Hospital?
"The consistent lack of regard to patient safety issues and warnings about potential sentinel events. Management turned a blind eye to concerns raised about nurses sleeping on the job, defective equipment, unsafe nursing practice, etc. In fact, they retaliated against me, creating a position so untenable that I felt I had no other options but to leave."
What do you like about working at South Fulton Medical Center?
"The co-workers are great team players and assist as needed."

"Make sure you list all qualities and certifications that you have. There's no such thing as too much."

"Micro management of some areas."

"Working with the people on my shift. They were all very knowledgeable."

"The PICU chief of medicine, was new and not a good fit for the unit. There was a lot of tension between the employees there before me and this doctor."

"Home health requires a LOT of paperwork and terrible hours, but I liked the job a lot."
What do you like about working at Gentiva Health Services?
"Some Home Health service are fly-by-night, but Gentiva is a large company with stocks and such, therefore it was a stable job."
