Senior Software Engineer

"Pros: Exciting company to work for. Doing a lot of cool things in the sports software world. Great engineering managers and leaders. Lots of freedom to do things your own way when you find the time. "Agile" isn't just a sometimes thing here. They practice it well and do it right. The engineering teams are well-coordinated and gel nicely. Cons: The company lacks vision - or rather, lacks the ability to spread their vision among its employees. Executive leadership works in a silo and is not very transparent - even when they think they are. Lackluster benefits. Very few perks. Office space is meh. Decorated alright and arranged nicely, but there's nothing fun to do and when snacks do get put out, they're gone within a few hours (likely to whoever stashed them in their file cabinet). Overall, a fun step along a career path and great people... just not a long-term place."
