"They develop and test 10 GB/s lightpipe communications devices. This was an opportunity to add to the highest speed digital communiction technology in current use. The coding can take you to the highest levels of design abstractions and you will have a great opportunity to streach yourself."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"JDSU does have some long term positions, but be sure that you have the patience to build respect from upper management before you commit a large part of your life to an unappreciative manager."

What don't you like about working at Spherion Staffing Services?

"The pace was not only fast, but super fast. It was far too fast to find any stable space to build a working career. Also, they want patch jobs because they don't let the engineers finish the testing code before releasing the product. Once a few dozen new tests were done, the socalled career opportunity was over. If you like being Kleenix, this is a good spot for you."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop trying to clone yourselves, no one else will be suitable with that attitude. Everyone else uses different processes to build the same quality levels."

"It was a great place to work during the 1st 1 and a half. Management change starting Jan 2009. It wasn't so bad but it was different. It changed from grat and cool place to be the same as any other corporations."

"The way they treat people when they lay them off. Not much respect."
