"I've worked for Spectrum for two years. The 24/7 news channel is a great idea, however, it needs a lot of improvement."
"I have worked in Spectrum Brands about a year and a half now and I think the company, in general, is great, but some of the policies implemented by the company seem unreasonable like having a bonus for top-level executives and not passing on the benefits to the low-level hardworking employees."
"Worked on various projects to add video services to the programming lineup. Total control of project, which was a positive. Weekly meetings to brief department of status of your project. Worked alone overnight many nights to perform needed maintenance. Flex time which is a big plus if you have to commute."
"Decent, Not as much challenging and expected."
"Spectrum offers a great compensation and benefits package but growth in the company is hard. Also, you are expected to stay in your own "lane" and to not help other departments."
"Spectrum Brands has been a great company to start my HRIS career. They have provided the opportunity to take on projects and tasks that have typically been out of my experience, allowing me to develop my skills and become a more valuable employee, While this company is great starting your career long term growth is slow and many career paths lead to dead ends causing high turnover."
"I worked for a startup company that has been purchased by Spectrum Brands. Working for them for the last few years was a pleasure."
"Spectrum was ultimately a wonderful place to work. It gave me an opportunity in the customer support world when I had absolutely no experience in a call center environment, let alone in customer service. While they offered a great benefits package and excellent pay, I feel there were a lot of areas where they lacked competence. For instance: The communication between upper-management, supervisors, and representatives was poor. Policies would constantly change (as to be expected in a growing business), but policies would quickly become convoluted, confusing, or at times, incomplete. I'm also not a huge fan of upper-management who tend hide away in their offices, never interacting with their employees. At times, the software and hardware we were provided would rarely be up-to-par, which would create a rather difficult day on the job, and management wouldn't address it until center-wide metrics would drop. Overall, Spectrum is a great company for those who need to get their foot in the door, but I truly believe fixing these management issues, would also lower their turn-over rate."
"I started working for Bright House in April of 2004 and gain experience in every aspect of this industry and now I'm in the construction department. I believe since 2016 Bright House was bought out by Charter now called Spectrum. there have been many changes that hasn't benefited the customer nor the employee in my opinion."
"This is a great company to work for. They have good benefits and people are very friendly. The compensation is very good as well."
"I built an Emmy award-winning team. Launched 3 brands/networks within 2 years. Elevated the standards of creativity and design in the network world. Established the in-house agency structure and production pipelines. My proven approach to creative and production was duplicated across the nationwide footprint for Spectrum."
"I’ve work for spectrum in 2019. It was a very great company. Taking over 50 inbound calls a day, meeting customers needs. Helping them with billing and technical support. Also making daily sale goals."
"I worked at spectrum for a couple of years and I think that being a part of the company that provided the necessities for you to succeed daily and, be adequately compensated for your efforts, gave me the confidence I needed to strive for greatness daily"
"I’ve worked at Spectrum for 8 months. This is a great company to work for. They offer all the tools and training that you need to be successful. With all the benefits Spectrum provide to their employees, they will make sure that you are on the way to reaching your goals. Their support is so awesome that the North Richland Hills office started to feel like home."
"While working with Spectrum Brands it was an excellent experience, with room to grow and develop. Work ambiance balance life goal and career goals. Direct management did good job at motivating work force, it gives you the ability to network and ask questions to senior management, as well as use the entire resources of the company."
