"I've worked with Special Counsel on a temporary, contract-basis as a Document Review Analyst for about six months. Generally speaking, it is a straight-forward remote job with flexible working hours and a decent hourly pay rate. Each document review project requires the application of a prescribed project protocol. The protocol is typically similar for each project, though at times it can get more complicated. The several project managers I've worked underneath somewhat vary in their management styles, so there is a level of inconsistency from project-to-project. The downside to this type of work is the inconsistent availability of projects--at times you can go several weeks without a project to work on, so this isn't a job you can rely upon as a steady source of income. Additionally, you operate under a weekly hours cap, which limits your ability to earn. Overall, this is a convenient job where you can make relatively easy money over the course of a week or two."
"I worked for Special Counsel inc since May 2018. I enjoyed my time there and gained great legal review experience and current large ongoing case events. I enjoyed the fellow attorneys but the work could get repetitive and mundane. The ability to advance was not available. I left due to COVID and no remote work has come available but I do maintain contact with the office for new review opportunities from home."
