"No upward mobility. During interview process and pre-employment, made a number of promises... unlimited sick days, client facing and requirements gathering. After I was hired, unlimited sick days was cancelled. My bonus was a $50 Amazon gift card. Client facing turned out to listening to complaints and not being involved in how processes were designed. Just get it done is the motto. I don't care how. No organization whatsoever. Everything had to be done so quickly, there was no time to develop a complete architecture. There were so many requirements missed that it turned out to be a crap shoot. You will be labeled the 'escape goat' for anything missed. VP comes from a sales background so he's ill-equipped to lead an information technology solution. He is very good at being reactive and doesn't put any foresight into being proactive. VP is very, very cheap. He'll make promises to clients and he doesn't even realize the magnitude of the efforts. I really think his plan is to get clients in the door by hook or by crook. Number of employees have heart issues. Employees where just walked out the door. No warning or anything, just get out. So the company doesn't value its people. Only 3 week cap of vacation time with a lot of strings attached. You can take a vacation only if.... vacation blackout periods during major time off periods. So you can't take a vacation when you want. Biggest mistake was saying "I accept this job." But that's been corrected. Lots of micro-management. Fire the VP and get someone who has better knowledge of managing IT work. Stop using free versions of products when you're supposed to be paying for a production version of the product to support your existing clients. This is criminal. VP's shouldn't be peeping over your office divider to your desk to see if you're working. Get a life! Numerous Microsoft licensing infractions on laptops but no one really cares. I hope Microsoft does an audit on the company."
"The company has about 4 locations, with its headquarters in Chicago. Company does not value its most accomplished employees and has poor retention policies. Not much scope for growth or training."
"A waste of valuable career time"
