"I worked at Gracenote for about four months. I had great experience because my supervisor and co-workers are great! They are willing to share their knowledge and provided me the opportunity to learn. I've been assigned the right amount of assignments and responsibilities. Definitely a great workplace. Will like to get back if given a chance. Talk about things other than work itself: the office location is perfect. Good commute, great view. Start-up like atmosphere, energetic employees."

"Wonderful Company to work for."

What do you like about working at Sony Music?

"The atmosphere and the people. They always try to get everyone involved in what is happening."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Great company to work for, but turnover is very high. You never know how long you will be there. I have seen high level, well respected employees let go because of decisions made by corporate based on finance alone instead of quality of work."

What don't you like about working at Sony Music?

"Very little ability to make decisions. Even if your title should allow you to, they limit you. Also being part of a larger corporation, the red tape is insane and the politics even worse."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be quicker to react when a good idea is presented."

"This is the best company to work for on the East coast. The management's regional expertise gives them more say over the business than most subsidiaries get. It has the best perks and rewards for exceptional workers. The music industry has many opportunities for innovative business professionals. Sony BMG is a big company with a small-business feel."

"I've worked for Gracenote for 3 years, the challenges come and go and sometimes there are great lengths of time where I don't feel as challenged as I could. Overall the management is good, and co-workers are great. Have had opportunities to work with some very smart and talented people as well as advance myself professionally."
