"It's medical device and if you can survive for a year it's a good stepping stone for another company."

What do you like about working at SonoSite?

"Closing deals. Literally that is it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Prepare as if this is the best job in the world. Everyone is leaving and they want to think people will stick around. But keep in mind they will let you go if your numbers are not there and they won't hesitate."

What don't you like about working at SonoSite?

"Senior Management is very reactionary. They haven't used common sense in launching a new business division. The training is poor at best and primarily rely on the rep to train themselves while they try to actually work a job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Invest money in training and a little less in marketing. Sending reps into the field with little to no knowledge of the products they sell is completely counterproductive. Try to listen to the people in the field every now and then. Lower the quota's to what is realistic. It is completely impossible to sell two units a month on a consistent basis which renders the quota's pointless just as they always have been. Half the sales-force has already left and it is not do to the transition of the companies acquisition of CD. Poor planning and little training with elevated emphasis on sales along with little to no guidance combines for a mass exodus."
