She has increased team moral, incorporated new innovative ideas, and supported the families and staff by establishing successful communication. Songbird Academy promotes excellent childcare by providing the students with highly trained, professional, reliable staff. As the new director of Songbird Academy, I strive to maintain positive, successful relationships with the staff. Our Songbird team is given the support they need by establishing open positive communication with our owner, myself, and each other. Songbird Academy maintains both safety and academic standards by introducing the staff to new, current and innovative trainings, education and materials. "I have worked at song bird academy for two months now and I have never felt more welcome in any position I have accepted as a teacher at any other day care . the owner is so sweet and generous and truly shows she appreciates her staff as well as parents and students. She is always looking for a way to improve things to make sure we are providing children with a clean safe and loving learning environment. I am so glad I was chosen to be apart of this team. Our director is just as awesome, always looking for ways to make things work for everyone and assisting her staff in any way she can. Co workers are more than amazing, we build Real relationships and help each other out as much as possible.This is an awesome place to send your children where they will have a wonderful experience in early childhood education. If I was not a teacher here I would still feel very comfortable sending all four of children there because I know they are truly provided with the best of the best and they will truly be loved natured and cared for genuinely everyday."

"This company formerly known as Short Stuff offers the very minimum amount of support to teachers. Constantly putting them in compromising positions with ratios, lack of materials to teach and no employee appreciation. The owners' constant presence and role within the daily operations is unprofessional, they speak out of terms often and take on personal judgement of employees. They do not promote based on an employee's ability and qualifications but more so their need to fill a position that has been left void (as the turnover rate is extremely high). They are driven by the cash flow of the business and not by the philosophy they so eloquently display. They have no interest in offering any benefits, paid training (or even meetings), to the staff. Owners refuse to take responsibility for inappropriate or unprofessional actions. They have consistent payroll issues, numerous occasions where employees have had bad or bounced checks. They will promise people things that they know they can't or won't deliver just to obtain sufficient staff. If you're looking for a good child care center to work at, stay away from this one."
