Snyder Jewelers Employee

"The core group or click consists of the Owner, the Manager (just title) and his minion. For any other hires it’s a revolving door. This is because they have no cohesive training program. Any mistakes that are made are dealt with through humiliation and shame. An associate, that was hired at the same time as me, had no jewelry experience. I watched as she was systematically harassed. She walked off the job after the first 14 days. I later learned that we were replacements for two previous employees that quit without notice. Every morning, I was utterly disgusted by the banter between the flamboyantly effeminate store manager and his pet minion associate. The conversations were unprofessional, spiked with inappropriate comments and innuendos. This was the normal routine for starting the day. As the weeks progressed I discovered that the Manager was gaslighting me by gong into the CRM and sabotaging my customer notes. In addition, he stole one of my big sales and infringed a copy write design on an engagement ring from one of our vendors. The owner is clueless about the operations or the finances. Sales performance is secondary to showing empathy about her many personal problems. On my third month my sales were outstanding. I was called into her office expecting phrase. Instead, She proceeded to pull a laundry list of mistakes (provided by my effeminate coworker), and she said “all you do is walk around the store and clean glass.” My reply was “ Well my sales numbers don’t show that, I am at x amount for this month.” She looked confused, scoffed and pulled a report from the computer. Then she got angry and threw a temper tantrum."
