"I've worked at Simpleview for 5 years. I've seen the company grow from about 100 employees to over 300. At that time, the company has not responded well to growing pains. As product offers and team complexity continue to grow, the company needs to dedicate resources to improve interdepartmental communication."
"Simpleview is a great company to work for. The work environment is laid back and there is a real sense of ownership by the employees for the company's products. The management knows how to take care of their employees."
"My first job out of college was with this company. It is not a bad first place to work."
What do you like about working at simpleview?
"The people that I worked with were fun to be around. The atmosphere is open and communication is easy."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Have a strong desire to learn if you are not already very knowledgeable in web development. It's useful at a place like this to know Adobe technologies such as Flex or Flash in addition to traditional web development technologies."
What don't you like about working at simpleview?
"There was a kind of, subtle negativity there. I couldn't put my finger on it but something didn't seem right about some of the management I worked with; sometimes I felt like they didn't value the employees as much as they claimed."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Most of the management that I encountered did fine, but I guess I would say to be flexible with employees and allow them to do things like telecommute at certain times. Be more flexible as well with employee work hours as far as starting and leaving times; 40 hrs is 40 hrs no matter when you work it. Don't cater to client perception at the expense of employee environment; let clients judge you based on reputation and performance, not the way the employees are dressed or the way the monitors all match."
