"Communicate with your management and regular employee staff more often."

What do you like about working at Sikorsky Aircraft?

"I liked working at Sikorsky Helicopter Support because I actually enjoy what I do. I like inspection and HSI is a really great place to work for permanent employees. The whole UTC culture is prestige, and I wish I could have been part of that whole experience permanently."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Absolutely! If you are interviewing for a contract to hire position, make sure you speak with an actual Human Resource person from HSI just to verify the information told to you verbally by your hiring agency. They just want the commission from your hard work and will say anything to get you in the door."

What don't you like about working at Sikorsky Aircraft?

"I was disappointed with the dishonesty that I received from my Contracting Agency. I was told that the job was a 3-6 month contract to hire position. I left a permanent position with hopes, not to mention promises of becoming a UTC employee. Once in the door, I discovered the contract agency had misled me. After one year and no offer of full time permanent employment, also working with others that were approaching their 2 year mark as contractors, I had to do what was best for my family. So, I chose to obtain full time permanent employment elsewhere."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The Contracting Agencies tell prospective candidates incorrect information to get them in the door. I would suggest when interviewing agency candidates, that HSI Human Resource personnel ensure the candidate is not being misled with false hopes of a permanent position as I was."

"Managing and motivating employees to achieve success in completions as well as the atmosphere."

"Be direct and honest, but remember; you have to have fun in your work and life."

"Senior Mangement not going forward with proposals for a better and more streamlined workplace."

"Listen to your managers especially when they have the experience required to motivate and develop employees as well as the skill set for always succeeding in the face of adversity."
