"I worked for Sidley Austin for over 11 years. The first 9 were great. There was a change in management in the home office, and that is when the tides turned. One person thought she knew how to do everything and no one else knew anything. You were either with her or you were not. Those who were not with her, got treated with disrespect and ostracism. It was like she was there to perform an exorcism on those who did not fall into the mold."

"I worked at Sidley for 12 years. Over the last three years, the IT group in the corporate office, Chicago, went down the drain as the respect they gave to the staff in the outer offices. The End Users Services Director in CH had a few choice staff and everybody else were toast in her eyes. This was not a way to run a department. You began to feel like you needed to be doing something different because you did not fit in her schema. The CIO even does not have a grip on the department's faults."

"Can't think of anything positive. There is a possibility of getting some good experience if you are in the right area."

"Management is by cronyism. Facts are not allowed to get in the way of what is wanted."

"Develop retention plans for staff; get leadership team on the same page."

"The benefits, the challenges, and the people the worked there. This was a great place to work for most of my time there until there was a management change."

"The CIO was very petty, poorly prepared, and did not treat staff fairly and unbiased"

"Get a CIO that is unbiased and values the opinions of others"

"Be prepared to put your technical skills to the limit as the environment is very large."

"It was the 5th largest law firm in the world and the turnover was very high"
