"Hire based on personality more so than experience. Someone who can sell themselves is invaluable. Also, give praise when praise is due. But, make sure your employees never mistake your kindness for a weakness."

"At the time of my employment, the corporate environment at Sherwin Williams in central Ohio was a nightmare except for the HR. This was not the case in the Cleveland market to where my hiring manager Pete Cobb moved after I was hired."
