"SSB, LLC, was in the final phase of merging two organizations Serta and Simmons 8 years from the initial merger. The final phase related to IT was not going well. I was good at what I did and merged both organizations to the same policies and procedures related to Sales Accounting. The Mattress Firm Bankruptcy and the on-line suppliers were going to make the poor choice of IT system was going to make life extremely difficult. I loved the people I worked with and especially those that worked for me but I did what was best for me. I left and am looking for a more operational focused opportunity."
"I've worked for Serta Simmons for a few months now. The culture is very laid back, and the people are very nice. Unfortunately, they laid off 30% of their employees this year to prepare the company to go public, and the work-life balance is very bad compared to other companies. I would recommend for anyone looking for a company with good people. Not very technologically challenging, however."
