Senior Security Engineer at SRC Technologies
in Millersville, MD

"As a Sr Security Engineer, it was sometimes frustrating to bring up infrastructure shortcomings and have senior management acknowledge the issue but tell us to move on. Being forced to stay reactive, not proactive is a recipe for failure."

Senior Security Engineer at Spectrum
in Round Hill, VA

What do you like about working at Spectrum?

"You get to work with the latest technology. The pay and benefits are great."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"There are a lot of smart people. You aren't going to BS them. However, at the same time, this is the kind of place people work at for a really, really long time. You will encounter plenty of people that have been doing the same job for a decade or more. Good luck trying to bring about change."

What don't you like about working at Spectrum?

"We are paralyzed by red tape and poor processes. Taking risks is promptly stamped out. Our company takes pride in being fast followers, not innovators."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"There is way too much middle management. Teams are unbalanced, sometimes too big, sometimes too small."

Senior Security Engineer at Diodes
in Plano, TX

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Crappy company due to self-centered senior management"

What do you like about working at Diodes?

"small, high-visibility, many of my colleagues, location, nothing much more"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Unless you are going for broke, do not apply. Its not worth it. The company has a lot of known short-comings which the management is unwilling to fix. Also, the job descrotion may not match the responsibility."

What don't you like about working at Diodes?

"Everything else. Senior/Executive management is really, really bad, especially CEO and Corporate Admin and. Verbal abuse. No moral support. Ethical problems. No reward for hard-work. Nepotism. Expectation is to compete with the Ferrari's with support of a KIA. Work-load disparity within the company. As stated by one of the executives - number of hours and effort spent on a project is meaningless. Fear-based corporate culture."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get a new executive team. The company needs new blood that knows how to deal with people rather their own self-interest."

Senior Security Engineer at West Coast Labs
in Irvine, CA

What do you like about working at West Coast Labs?

"I love my coworkers. I work with a very smart group of individuals. It's just that the company culture is just to work, no incentives to motivate the employees to stay by offering career advancements and training. Always some excuse about funding such efforts is not in the budget but yet the company reports steady profits."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Get everything in writing. If they say they're going to advance your career to a specific area. Make sure it's legally binding."

What don't you like about working at West Coast Labs?

"The management. Out of touch and slow to get any of our needs addressed. We're a tech company...we need things now, not months/years from now."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would make every employee know that their efforts are appreciated. I would offer training and other incentives to retain the talent we have. I would invest in the company's infrastructure and supply the employee with the tools they need to ge their jobs accomplished."
