What do you like about working at Micronetics?

"I liked working here for 8 years, because flexibility for being able to do whatever I thought the company needed for there IT dept in order to help the users be able to perform there job funtion better, to be given the opportunity to grow, and being flexible enough where we all had the chance to work remotely, go in on the weekends, come in as early and leave as late as we wanted too. Also being able to have that balance between work and home life."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be yourself, do what you say, and say what you do and you'll fit right in there."

What don't you like about working at Micronetics?

"The only thing that stands out is nobody wanted to be in charge of the IT Dept. At Micronetic's they have different product lines and each Division had there own groups. The IT Dept worked for all the groups so nobody wanted to be in charge of the IT Dept, so they enventually started a Corporate group where all depts and individuals who supported all the groups became one group labled Corporate and the CFO was responsible for that group."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Communications is a very important element for employers to give to there employees, we enventually decided in order to see what was going on within the company we would have daily huddles"

"While I was employed I enjoyed the job because it requred many skills"

"I am no longer emplyed there, due to management restructuring I was laid off."

"Saxon was a great place to work with great people. All co-workers were and still are my extended family. I truly miss being at Saxon."

What don't you like about working at Saxon Mortgage?

"We were a satellite office; corporate being in VA. So the rest of network team was in cross country. It would have been nicer to have been with the team, but we were able to work well apart."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Being cross country from management, sometimes communication suffered. Quicker call or e-mail responses as well as more team conferencing would be helpful."

"Probably the best place I worked for as a corporate entity. Unfortunately, they were a small enterprise at the time and the many hats you had to wear; took up too much personal time in the changing booth of life."

"Working 7 days/16 hours a day constantly with just a two week vacation to recuperate."

"This was resolved as the company grew - they still have crunch time but have managed to balance work/personal life, for the most part."
