Sea Mar Employee

"I believe in what the company mission statement says. How they go about it is another matter. Employees, especially salaried employees are expendable, even providers come and go at such a rapid rate, it costs the company thousands per employee, and still it is easier to continually hire rather than fix some basic problems with the way management is treated. I tried to make sure my front line staff was shielded from the crap but it got to be too much, I lasted a year longer than most nurse managers. Twelve months was the average. Fifty hour weeks were standard, 3-4 times a year they required a six day week without compensation of any kind. If I needed an hour for an appointment I had to take it out of PTO time, even though I worked through most lunches. Would never go back to that company, the problems start all the way at the top."
