"Easy work, but much downtime due to old equipment and bandaid repairs. If an idea makes sense, management refuses it. Parking is at a premium until first shift leaves and at times non existent. Example of an idea that makes sense is adjusting shift by 30 minutes to allow previous shift to leave before next begins. Not an option! Parking in rear lot means more walking than needed. Pay is good for the work, Job is ok if you can handle 5S-ing more than assembling product. Quality is handled like the old equipment and much is caused by it, but schleped off onto employees by redundant checks instead of fixing the problem. Company talks a good game but like most fall far short of keeping employee's happy. Over-all if you can put up with stupidity this job is for you."

"Good company, reasonable benefits. However, as a Product Manager is very difficult to get any innovation to market. Management mindset is towards short-term results instead of long-term sustainable growth. In electrical equipment, where products take years to develop, no reasonable innovation can be executed in the short term. The corporate strategy is to buy somebody smaller and milk it, as opposed to organic development."

"Schneider is an excellent company at large. However, the Columbia facility is desperate for level, fair, passionate leadership seeking to benefit the entire organization and not just their next career opportunity. Current management has proven to be insensitive, racially biased, and lacking nuance or the ability to tolerate differing opinions."
