"6 years in Samsung has been good overall."
"Horribly siloed and the worst management system possible. If you are just looking for a paycheck then... no, stay away regardless. Absolutely abhorrent manufacturing systems. Austin has NO say in the technology, it is completely controlled by Korea. Korea has literally zero sense of design for manufacturability, which in combination with zero accountability for that from Korea, sets Austin up for failure. At 14 nm this is 100% disastrous. There is not a single individual in my group who is happy with anything outside of having a job in a crappy economy in a cyclical industry."
"I have worked for this company since last 3 years."
"I have worked for Samsung Electronics for a year and a half and it has strong work ethics and the work allocated is commendable."
"AP mass production for 32nm and beyond. People work hard. This manufacturing site has to follow directions from HQ (S. Korea)."
"Fun experience and got help from lots of experienced engineers."
"Very centralized company. Still trying to figure out what to do and how to do."
"Good company to work for. Interesting projects!"
"Korean oversight limits innovation."
"I've worked for Samsung Austin Semiconductor for 3.5 years. In my time there, I was privileged to be surrounded by great talent and technology. I got along well with my co-workers and always had fun and challenging projects to work on."
"Samsung is an amazing company to work for. As an intern in their Data Science team, I received an opportunity to work on the humongous scale of their customer data. The overall experience was superb and I would highly recommend working at Samsung Electronics America."
"This was a fun place to work"
"I worked for Samsung for almost five years. Samsung's benefits are some of the best out there. I was very sad to be laid off, especially since six months prior I had been promoted. The work-life balance varies depending on what is happening. A phone launch or holiday season can really change your work-life flow. Overall, I loved my time at Samsung."
"* I put the other Zip codes because it was a South Korea company. It is an EPC company concerned global megaprojects. Burj Khalifa is one of the masterpieces of the company. I was a Project engineer of powerplant EPC projects, and it was not so much bad experience except a rural overseas location."
"I have been working with Samsung since March 2013. Samsung has provided me opportunity to work on various mobile technologies including Native Android/iOS, Reach Native and PWA. Samsung is really open to new ideas and ready to invest in new technologies which is why I was able to build strong engineering team by giving them new challenges frequently."
