What do you like about working at Sam Ash Music?

"The saving grace of enjoyment working for this company is that it used to be profitably awarding as a commissioned position but it has gradually diminished because they have restructured their commision basis and hired more people thus making it impossible to make the amount I used to make. I am now struggling to make a living."

"My suggestion to anyone applying for that company would be that if you're over 30 yrs. old and seeking management while maintaining a home and other major expenses, don't apply for that job."

"The company keeps adding more restrictions to procedures that make it difficult to earn a healthy salary."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest that they return back to the original commision pay structure for the full-time employees in management in order for them to live comfortably and to carry out their job positions with dignity."

"My coworkers are fun and interesting. My customers are varied and engaged. The product I sell is related to a passion of mine."

"It's retail based sales which is not lucrative nor is it ultimately satisfying. The company is inherently not geared or willing to engage in large contract based sales or business to business relationships."

"Please update your POS system and consider technology to be a sword to yield in the 21st century economic battle."

"Know exactly what this company can offer you in the long run, if this matches what you are looking for then go for it, if not, realize that this can be a stepping stone for something better."

"Management doesn't have a in the trench approach, when in comes to delegation. Some things cannot be accurately measured by a number. Upper management should actually work in the stores a couple of days to really see how things happen."
