"My job at SAIC is stable, relatively interesting, low stress, and the salary/benefits are competitive."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The only way to advance very far is to leave the company entirely and try to get hired back a few years later in a better position."

What don't you like about working at SAIC?

"SAIC corporate has an unbearable bureaucracy. Too much focus on cutting overhead (i.e., everything that makes our lives easier/more pleasant), not enough on cutting dead weight employees that drag everyone else down."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Focus less on pleasing shareholders. The current strategy is obviously not working."

"5 years Little chance to grow outside the box they put you in."

"The lack of support in achieving my vision and growth. IT is a Body Shop"

"They lose good people all the time because they place them in boxes with no way out"

"Continuation of contract work from previous employer, Boeing. Loved the mission of the DOD system integration contract."

"When an employee tells you they need help and want to use the EAP help them."

"Check how long the contract is for - you work for the project through SAIC and if the contract ends you lose your job."

"There was little hope of career advancement and a bigger chance of losing your job when the contract expires."
