"I've been with Rovi for just over two years, the first 6 months as a contractor. Initially, Rovi was a positive experience and was improving over the years. In the last year or so, Rovi has lost its way. Executives are out of touch with the rank and file, there are constant organizational changes, and there's no clear vision. Benefits are good, however."

Rovi strives to maintain an excellent work-life balance offering the opportunity to telecommute when necessary, while encouraging co-location for team growth. At any given time in the Golden office, it will not be uncommon to see engineers playing Xbox, or turkey bowling during Thanksgiving. Great place to work."

"Dictatorial management style, factional competition between departments and regional offices for power."

"Put the customer first and listen to feedback from employees."

"Lack of career path, and uncertainty due to multiple takeovers, and now we are simply remote office with few senior managers on site."

"Listen to employees asking for better indication of career path within the company, instead of panic reaction when somebody leaves for a better position."

"Communication inter-departmentally can be a challenge at Rovi. Significant turnover this year at the executive level."

"Place greater strategic emphasis on execution and product delivery based on customer-driven deadlines (not trade shows)."
