"Entry level and first job out of college. A required learning experience."
What do you like about working at Rome News-Tribune?
"The potential for professional and personal growth in writing. It has also given me the ability to learn how compassionate as well as passionate I am about mental health care and behavioral science. It's helped me open my mind to what I find now as legitimate social problems affecting our society."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Just be yourself and be honest with what you're good at. Also, have a thick skin! People aren't really partial to journalists asking them questions due to publications like Busted and Just Busted etc. Don't get offended by rejection because that will happen. If you are overly sensitive, this isn't the job for you."
What don't you like about working at Rome News-Tribune?
"Obviously, I don't care for the income and that it doesn't provide a self-sufficient income. Also, I'm not keen on the town. It's not my favorite place to live but working here has given me a better appreciation for a a place I'd otherwise find completely boring as well as horrible."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I don't know if I have many comments on management. It seems to work for the employees. I do however, think it should be open to new ideas and not have the stuck in their ways mentality it claims to not have."
