"Rockwell Collins is an aerospace company with interests in the defense and commercial avionics sector. I have no experience in commercial but the government division is a very good employer, with ample work and reasonable hours. The downside is okay compensation and not much opportunity to move up quickly."

"Stable company and a well-known name in the industry. The pay is a bit below average, and yearly raises barely keep up with inflation.Good area to raise a family with a lost cost of living, but certainly not suitable for single or young professionals.Hard to move up unless you join the inner circle."

"If I never work at a Lean Electronics shop again, it will be too soon. It is a constant struggle to get sufficient resources to do the job right, which is a good way to win government contract bids, but very hard on the morale of a conscientious engineer."

"I've worked for Rockwell Collins for 10 years in multiple departments. The enjoyment of the job highly depends on the department head. Some departments are great at providing good tools and good life-work balance. Some departments will completely disregard any input and work you ragged. Overall benefits have gone down lately so they're about average."
