"I love being a part of the care planning and discharge process of the patient and being a part of the patient transition home safely. There is nothing that I can say I hate about being a case manager."

"I enjoyed the flexibility and being able to work at home."

"No. I have worked in the office for over 5 years. Also, I have relocated to VA and do not know many of the current management tearm."

"The company changed was not as much like a family as when I was originally employed."

"It would be more helpful if management provided more information to employees about the company's status"

"Good corporation to work for, but communication isn't very good."

"Just go in and be honest with your background, ask questions."

"The favoritism that is allowed to continue, those that work hard are given more work."

"To listen to the lower front line personel, when making an anonymous helpline tip, it did not remain anonymous"

What do you like about working at UnitedHealth Group?
"I like that I can occasionally get to work from home (not really a positive because there are stipulations and hoops to jump through for nurses to work from home)."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The interview process is long. Nurses, please ask a lot of questions on what the position entails. If you are taking the position out of a desire to work from home, be honest and ask what the possibility for work from home would be. It's different, depending on your manager."
What don't you like about working at UnitedHealth Group?
"I dislike the poor communication to employees and the poor management. The medical benefits are horrible, considering its a health insurance company.The position feels more like sales or telemarketing than nursing.There should be more emphasis on quotas than actual health. If you want to do case management, there are better options. This company is not a place for long term growth. There are very few opportunities for advancement for nurses."

"I would suggest better communication and honesty with employees, and better benefits. The medical benefits are not good. Dental and vision are average."

"It was a temp jobdoing case management, which is what I enjoy doing ."

"The company is a good one, the owner is really personable."

"After one assignment finished, there was not another for me."

"Not much. Other employees are friendly, client facilities are friendly, nursing bag is provided."

"Ask a lot of questions. Be prepared for unpleasant surprises once you're hired. The pay is tempting, but there's a price to pay."

"Secretive administration, micro managing, 24/7 on call. Constantly changing expectations and rules. Owner/Administrator is weak; no backbone, lies, does not back her employees in the field."

"Come clean with employees. Stop the secrecy and game playing. Stop the inner circle click."

"my co workers are great we are all in the same shoes and work on team building ourselves"
