"The overall diversity in a very fast paced environment and the opportunities to train and develope employees for the overall sucesses of the district. Freedoms to be creative on going about building the business."

"During the busy times working grave yard shifts in order to complete inventories. Just before I left the company I had to cut the pay of 27 hourly workers at the direction of the home office."

"In order to be a successful manager of a lot of people it is imperative that good communication is established and worshiped at all times. Successful communication will ensure a high delivery of our services and customer service. Also surrounding yourself with the best possible staff."

"Your management can ruin your job placement. Make sure you get their phone number and question everything you do with management."

"If you don't have lots of flexibility in your life this isn't the job for you!"

"Unfortunately RGIS looks at their people as being disposable. Having been a Training Manager prior to my resignation lots of new initiatives were put in to place but in a lot of cases there wasn't much follow up to ensure that they were in fact implemented and people held accountable to that end."

"Just take a more sincere interest in the well-being of each and every employee from top to bottom. Especially bottom."

"As a DM, things were great before the selling of the company. New VP's and Directors were not the best of choices"

"RGIS was great for part time but a salaried position is not worth the effort. They take advantage of you both physically and mentally."

"The direction the company moved towards did not take care of the employees even at higher levels"

"Take better care of employess especially ones that put there heart and soul in the company for 17 + years and see nothing but the curb"

"Do not bother working at a corporate office - save your health - unless high managment really likes you - then you can do no wrong..."

"Everything else - management is cut throat, will chew you up and spit you out - if economy would be better - probably 80% people would leave the same day"

"Become real people and not micromanage - performance out of fear is much worse than happy worker performance."

"Meeting new customers and working with my crew to get done as quickly and accurately as possible. I love being able to see progress being made."

"Make sure you have excellent math skills. That's what helped me excel at my job as a counter. The easier you can visualize quantity, the better you will be."

What don't you like about working at RGIS?

"Long hours and sometimes a whole weeks' worth of long days. Traveling daily can become quite weary when you are trying to keep a car, because RGIS has employees drive to each site in their personal vehicles."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Provide more benefits and more company vehicles. I believe this would lead to a much higher retention rate, which is one of the biggest concerns in the company. It's not economical to train people that quit a month later."
