"I worked at The Retirement Group for quite a long time in Operations Department. It was a good job. I learned more than I could have imagined while there. It could be stressful at times and the workload could be overwhelming. It is fast paced and there are many needs to fulfill. That is the nature of the business though. Management had high expectations but also educated you on how to be better. The lessons and skills I learned here will follow me throughout my career."

"I began working with The Retirement Group in 2013. I started off working on the cash flow analysis for existing clients and stress testing client portfolios. The second part of my job consisted of working with Michael Lee the financial advisor working with ATT and PG&E clients. He showed how to plan for retirement taking into their company specific benefits. I helped prepare for seminars by researching the changes to the plans."

"I worked at The Retirement Group for several months. I was training to become a financial advisor. I worked with Jesse Reinle and Erik Larsen. Jesse Reinle was very motivated and fun to work with. Erik was our supervisor and was very helpful whenever I had a question. I became a specialist in the Merck company plans. I would have continued my career there if I hadn't moved."

"I worked with TRG for three years and, for me, it was a good experience. It wasn't always great, but what job is. The coworkers I had were fantastic and management was supportive and understanding. I learned some valuable lessons while there, being it was my first job out of college. We had lunch brought in from time to time. Work load was heavy sometimes and it could get stressful. Overall it was good experience."

"I worked with TRG for 2.5 years before having to move. It was good experience for me. Learned how to utilize different avenues for marketing campaigns across the country. Dealt with vendors to coordinate seminars for advisors. Scheduled and maintained the seminars and the workflow utilized to trigger certain tools to market the seminar. My coworkers were great. The responsibility was too much at times and the stress I felt was quite overwhelming sometimes. All in all it was enjoyable."

"Being an advisor assistant has its ups and downs. It can be time consuming. On the other hand, the experience and the habits I am forming are priceless. My aspirations are to one day be an advisor myself. The things I have learned thus far will serve me well moving forward. It is not always easy and I have had some challenges but this industry isn't always easy."

"In the beginning there is big focus on training. There are many aspects of the position as far as what you could encounter on the phone and how to overcome them. I learned a ton during this time. The position itself is goal driven. You have to meet certain benchmarks on a weekly basis. That is demanding at times but expected. Overall, they prepare you for the work you are expected to perform and those expectations are clear from the beginning."

"Been here for 7 years now. I very much enjoy what I do here. Helping our clients through life changing situations and providing the service they chose us for is important to me. Everyone here is working towards the same goals. We have a good time working together. Typically have lunches brought in and celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. There are long hours sometimes and the occasional Saturday. Like any other job there are its ups and downs. Overall a great place to work."
