"see one-line description. Don't expect market wages. Talk sports during your interview and you're in regardless of expertise. Don't talk technical: management will bore easily and will not hire you."

What don't you like about working at Response. Marketing. Excellence.?

"management is completely clueless. They have no concept of software development and do not take the time to learn what it takes to develop a working application. Compensation was pathetic. It took 2 developers leaving and 3 applicants literally laughing at offers to get a pittance raise, still far below market value. Upper management are jocks, and hate computer professionals. The owner of the company verbally berated our profession in front of the whole company (Star Trek or Star Wars) Glass ceiling. No promotions from within. Many promises made, none delivered. Got the light at the end of the tunnel speech more times than I care to remember."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"get a clue. Respect the decisions and opinions of professionals YOU hired to develop your applications. Pay better. Offer promotions. Follow through on promises. Hire competent management."
