Reed Midem Employee

"I joined Reed at the end of last year. I was very excited for this opportunity because I was going to be pivoting into space I was really passionate about. I was brought onto the team to grow their portfolio of real estate events both in the US as well as Europe. Traveling and meeting clients would be a big part about the job and I was eager to start. No one could have predicted the Covid crisis that has no become the "new normal" and paralyzed the live event space. It is certainly no one's fault within Reed. I am very thankful to still be working while I know many who are less fortunate. However, the transition to working from home has not been easy. I feel the organization could have done more to make this transition smoother given that so many of their sales reps travel and essentially are working remotely a significant amount of the time. They haven't been able to adapt into doing virtual events space in a meaningful way. As a sales person I am driven by the motivation of what I can make on my bonuses and commissions. Without something to sell I find myself not making much of anything on the back end."
