"I have worked for Raymond James for a year and half at this point and have learned that the company is very goal oriented. The company has lost sight of its playful atmosphere and as since adopted a work, work, work atmosphere."
"A company known for its IT culture has deteriorated significantly since last CEO change. Very profitable for investors with IT bonuses now heading in their direction. Solid company where work, work, play was replaced with work, work, work. Not bad... it's just not good."
"Working at Raymond James started off good but has steadily gone down hill over the last 7 years. I'm not sure what is happening there but they always speak about how important technology is to the company then they let every opportunity to do good slip through their fingers. I think with the current trend they will be know as a bad place to work in IT in the next few years. I have been there for 7.5 years and almost everyone who was there when I started has left or been laid off."
"Moral in the IT side is very low. You must work more due to lay-offs and people leaving for better work environments. The managers are great there, they will have your back at all times which makes you feel secure in doing your job and not scared. Upper management is really the cause of moral being so low. They say that they are working on trying to improve the environment, but in reality it keeps getting worse. They need to recognize that they cannot work people over 50 hours a week."
"Raymond James, while not a terrible enterprise environment (and certainly I have no prior, medium- to large-scale enterprise environment to compare to in my experience) was troubled by ineffective middle management which lacked the technical knowledge to approach problems, suggestions and solutions in an intelligent manner. It should be stated that this was one employee's experience with just a handful of managers. Not all of Raymond James' management may be like this."
