"The culture fostered a great work ethic among the employees. Combining Lifestyle with a great brand brought about fantastic creativity and passion."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Having been the person who created Quiksilver's Human Resources department I am still sought out by people who want to work there. My advice to them is that given Quiksilver is in survival mode at this point, they must be willing to wear multiple hats, work long hours and stay resilient in presenting new ideas to management."

What don't you like about working at Quiksilver?

"Lack of understanding of the role Human Resources could play in further developing the business. Getting stuck in old styles of management rather than trusting it's senior level management to propel the company forward."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To listen more and foster the creativity in all departments not just design and marketing."
