Qualified Printers Employee

"This is by far one of the worst companies that I have ever worked for in my entire life. In the interview I was told by the owner that I would have health insurance, training, and I was being hired to work a full time schedule. All of this was a lie. Even after the owner told me that I would have insurance after three months, I still had not received it after being there for six months. Rumor around the job was that he lied about things to keep people employed there and he NEVER kept his promises. I was also told by him that usually people would get 6 months of training for my position and I only had a half a day. My hours were also cut last month, because supposedly business got slow. He also accused me of giving a customer a bad attitude through a fax, which I don't know how you do that unless you are being really derogatory to that customer, but since he saw the fax that I sent, he still stood by the lie that was told. He also said that I was rude to one other customer on the phone, but he was there while I talked to the customer and so was the secretary. This man does not have his business together. He never kept toilet paper in the bathroom and myself and the secretary always had to supply the bathroom with toilet paper. The toilet looked like there was mold growing on the inside of it and everything in the computer was unorganized. Half of the job tickets needed to complete the jobs were very unorganized or were thrown away. The owner also had a habit of throwing his workers under the bus just to make himself stand out. If you are looking to get into the print industry as a graphic designer/ typesetter then this is not the job for you. Midland may be short on graphic design jobs, but at least you will feel true worth at the other companies out here. I had too many instances where I was yelled at and degraded in front of employees and customers by this man. It got so bad that I had nose bleeds and my hair started to fall out from the stress of this job."
