What do you like about working at City of San Luis Obispo?

"Rank and file employees were great. As typical with small municipalities internal politics were ever present and often very one sided."

What don't you like about working at City of San Luis Obispo?

"I was hired as a temporary and after 3000 plus hours was not offered a full time position as previously indicated at hiring interview. By city employee agreement 500 hours is maximum as a temporary. As previously stated politics are often one sided. The city is attempting to eliminate full time employees and provide service with contract labor. (temps with no benefits)"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The city employees are the backbone of the community service and if the local lifestyle is to be maintained and grow management needs develop strong management / employee relationships."
