What do you like about working at Protection 1?

"I worked for Protection one for over 3 years. The technicians Carlos was awesome. I was very successful for the duration of my employment and made well into 6 figures. You are allowed to work on your own usually without micro management."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Good luck and don't be afraid to knock on doors as that's where the business is."

What don't you like about working at Protection 1?

"The inside work environment was hostile between the Manager and the Admin. The Manager was always calling them names and was very unprofessional. I also worked out of the Sacramento branch where the Manager there was fired for sexual harassment. I was involved in a motorcycle accident and was out with injuries for 5 months, I received a letter from HR guaranteeing a job when I returned but since then they have never responded. I was in the top 5 in the country so that shows you where their loyalty is. Also the manager is married to an ADT manager so he works both ends. They also have no idea how commercial works."

"We look for dedicated and committed employees. We are very fast paced therefore employee adaptability and customer service on all accounts is key."

"The availability of advancement is limited. I currently report to the VP HR which is the only position that is above my current position."

"Continue with acknowledging employee committment and value. THe new leadership does a great job with providing avenues for employee acknowledgement, we just need to ensure that those avenues are utilized."

"When sales are great your a hero, when they are bad, or your in the negitive, nothing you have done in the past is considered"

"Every month your job is threatened and your told to hit your quota or your out."

"Relax, if you act like you don't trust your team, and tell them what you will start doing to make the job worst for them, you will lose them."
