"Being an experienced hire rather than a college graduate which is the typical Accenture hire, put me in a unique situation in that I went in with experience and a previous salary base. I changed roles when I joined Accenture. The new salary was very fair and considerably more than I was making previously. However, the salary was at the low end of market salary (the range of salaries for others in the profession in a given geographical location) for a project manager. I made the mistake when I was hired of not knowing what the range was and not fighting for what I felt I was worth and that error stayed with me for a very long time. Know the market and what the salary is for the position you are looking at and be willing to fight for what you want. Raises are based on a percentage of the starting point -- so the starting point is very important. Even promotions are affected by the starting point. So be wise and know what you are worth."

"The pay at Wave for my role is on the high end by company standards but low when it comes to the industry as a whole. There have been several changes in structure to the department I was initially hired onto back in 2017. In the last 7 months I have taken on work of a PM III and I have not been compensated. No bonuses or overtime (Salaried)"

"As a newer sales consultant, I did not have the established pipeline of my peers. However, for my first year in the industry I was proud of the work I put in and the amount I earned. My goal was to add another $20,000 to my earnings with repeats and referrals. This goal was going to be difficult to attain after COVID shut down jobsites and my customers were not in the market."

"I felt I should have been paid more. My job does not give quarterly raises as I am 1099. Being a project manager in the Cable Industry isn't easy. As a company we are evaluated and graded monthly. If you are not on top of things the company can easily plummet and possible released from the area as we have competitors."
