"There are differences in commision structure but overall we have the opportunity to compete, I would love a little more percentage on the sales and people we are able to place compared to other roles but for good reason we are a little bit lower. Other than that, it is highly rewarding to be able to place someone at their dream job and be compensated for it as well!"

Being a Professional Recruiter is going to be whatever you make of it. If you choose to be an 8-5 person you probably won't see the success you want. But if you decide to "grind" you will see the financial success you'd like to see. The downfall of being a Professional Recruiter is the commission structure. We top out on getting 8% commission. However, Account Managers can make up to 24%. In order for the Professional Recruiter/Account Manager dynamic to truly be a "partnership" I believe the commission structure needs to be adjusted. It doesn't necessarily need to be "even" but at the least it needs to be adjusted."
