What do you like about working at Ports America?

"I was on a contract time of employment and when I was let go I received 3 months severance pay. I enjoyed learning and working on improving a process and had a small experience with EDI programming like working with one of the developers, and we would play soccer at one of the resources in the Office on my 1/2 hour break between shifts. I also worked with DBA's"

"They want folks with some kind of technical training so you can advance."

What don't you like about working at Ports America?

"It was short lived because a software project went bad and the company lost money so they cut the staff, I should have moved to a different position but it was too late after I left."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I really don't have suggestion to the management because it was a family owned business."

"This was one of the best companies to work for. I love the work and the people."

"No really, you would just find that the work will have you travel a lot."

"There was no one thing I did not like about working for this company."

"I just wish that the work load would pick back up and that they would hire me again."

"I get to learn a lot about other department operations. The enviroment is somewhat relaxed. Can't complain about my view either!"

"I really don't like the lack of team work or cross functioning. There seems to be a major breakdown among the team departments as well as the management teams. Not a lot of communication between departments."
