Submit a Review"I enjoyed the deli, but the repetitive slicing caused me elbow problems, and being a Porter was enjoyable for the short time I was doing it. I was always around the entire store, getting to know more people because I was always in the back doing deli. I really enjoyed myself until I was told I was basically used to doing Porter until someone returned from Vacation."
"What I like about being a Porter is I have control of the situation at my work environment, which is a School/Church combo. What I hate is it is part time with minimum wage."
"Being a porter has its ups and downs. In terms of the upsides, I have the opportunity to become familiar with vehicles I usually would not have the opportunity to work with. As for the downsides, working outside during the winter can be a bit bothersome."

"Well the first thing I'd do is ask them if there was any specific part of the interview that you thought they may have mishandled. After that I'd think back and try to remember if there had been any faulty communication on my part. Then I'd try to review possible problems I had understanding your questions, and I'd ask for clarification if I needed it. Finally, if we had time, I'd try to respond more fully and appropriately to the problem areas you identified for me."
What don't you like about working at King College Prep High School?
"I'm not able to grow in the field I mostly like doing."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Celebrating people's work achievements, someone's new idea that improved processes or productivity, and or drawings from the kids about what Mom/ Dad does at work all day"

"the boss and the owner were mean and didnt care about you"

"nothing they wont listen to you about anything because youre always the lowest man on the pole"

"be honest about everything on the application. keep your head up and pay attention to what people are asking you or telling you."

"my job had never changed and it was always the same thing over and over but was still a good placee to work."

"none. it was a great place to work and I had a great time being there."

"Not much to like...minimum wage, excessive amount of work, poorly managed."

"If it'll only be a temporary job, go for it. Otherwise, really think it over."

"Aside from management and the bad pay: members are nasty...leaving dirty towels randomly on the floor, not flushing the toilet, and even walking around the locker room naked."

"Construct a better schedule for all employees, better the communication, and assign the people with the proper education to jobs with more 'power'."

"One of the reasons I am leaving is that I felt I was not challenged enough at the job."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"If you have a weekly meeting use 10 minutes per meeting to have a topic about job motivation. Subject could be writing something positive every day on piece of paper posted on the office door, having a competition who deliver most high fives or thumb ups between department meetings, or doing exercises at peoples' desks once every hour - just one or two minutes."

"If your are going to an interview any time after 1 pm get there very early cause traffic can be very backed up"

"Lack of hours, Clients can be unruly and unprofessional. That is about it"
