What do you like about working at Phoenix Children's Hospital?

"Schedule & flexibility with scheduling. Staff nurses are good people and work very hard for the families they take care of. There is a team effort during difficult times & that is how we all survive."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Expect to work under high stress with little or no support. If you can work here you can work any where."

What don't you like about working at Phoenix Children's Hospital?

"Decrease in hours, no support during high acuity times, employees work 14 hours with one 1/2 hour break. This does not promote health in the employees ironically we are to promote health in our patients."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Utilize staffing agencies to provide adequate staffing during times of need. Allow more flexibility in cross training into other units when staffing needs are low without nurses having to give up their current positions. Bring in nurses just to break those on staff so that they can get breaks & lunches that are required by law."
