4.1The company sells an obvious and valuable product to its customers, and does so honestly. However, the corporate atmosphere is one of cutting corners and cheating in order to meet compliance standards, with management happy to pay lip service towards following the rules, but that stops the minute a deal is on the line. Afterwards, it's all photo-shopping dates to meet QM review. The sales pace is so frantic, loan officers cannot be bothered to complete the initial loan disclosures designs and so deals whither because applications are always incomplete.
Processors routinely carry a pipeline of 150+ files, each. There is little patience from management toward running a clean ship; an atmosphere of "just get it done" and "why didn't you get it done?" is pervasive. Fundings have decreased 50% over the last 3 months because processing literally does not have the time to keep up with emails from clients asking for updates, much less approval conditions. It is a dire situation.
