"I'd stop going on about the company's purpose and try to get everyone to adopt it as their own purpose."

"This is an incredibly competitive company, so you had better be a Type A+++ if you expect to do well."

"It's too easy to get lost in the shuffle. Even if you do good work, you will not get noticed unless you work in the right place or you have a strong advocate."

"Focus on innovation - there hasn't been a game-changer like Swiffer, Febreze or Whitestrips for a long time."

"There was an immediate responsibility to manage large budgets ($20MM-$500MM) that allowed me to lead."

"The rigidity of making decisions at times was bogged down with unneeded processes."

"In order to truly be agile, there needs to be more action and less aligning just to align."

What do you like about working at Procter & Gamble?

"Procter and Gamble highly values its employees and provides the best training programs in all aspects to ensure the employees are set up for success. Trainings that I took during my two years with P&G include leadership, communication, listening skills, teamwork, time management, networking opportunities, and so on. Also, the company gives a high level of trust to its employees. As a recent hire, I was assigned to lead a $15MM project. People whom I work with are diverse and open minded. P&G also provides a great mentorship program."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure you are connected to a recruiter, because getting into P&G is probably harder than getting into Harvard."

What don't you like about working at Procter & Gamble?

"Mainly, I don't like the location availability in the US. All positions end up back in Cincinnati, OH. My family is in California, so staying with the company long term is not a viable option for me."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Think about how to target Gen Y employees to address their needs. For example, have a rotational project in different GBUs or a rotational role within the same GBU."

"I like the reputation and salary. Besides that, there's really not much more going for the group."

"Avoid to save your pride and many headaches. If you're creative, try to avoid this hole."

"There are too many lies from management and poor leadership. There's simply too much business politics and games."

"I suggest removing current management and replace with experienced, competent leaders."

"Fringe benefits were good, but not much otherwise. There were too many limits on chemists."

"If you are a chemist, keep in mind that you will be treated below your level and will be managed by people with less experience and knowledge."

"There were ridiculous limitations to my ability to move ahead and make contributions."

"End the competitiveness, and make it collaborative and open to new ideas."

"Much of the company's vision is to move overseas and to outsource all of the work typically done by R&D technicians."

"Focus on beating the competition, and stop competition internally between employees of the same rank."

"If you have an opportunity to work for Procter and Gamble, do yourself a favor and DO NOT pass it up."

"The only thing I really didn't like about the company was working rotating shifts, but the pay and benefits made it worthwhile to me."

"Get away from rotating shifts and go to straight shifts if possible."

"Stop picking favorites, and chose who is right for the job."

"I don't like having to put up with feeling like everyone above me is babysitting me every day. There is too much for one person to handle, while some others do nothing!"

"Everything! I would make things fair, and care about the agents who are doing a harder job."

"Everyone is trying to help each other grow. But at the same time, I would describe it as old school in that change is very hard to execute, and work is done in very traditional manners, and not as accepting of using technology and work/life flexibility that is available now."

"Be honest. They are very good at perceiving inauthenticity. Don't worry about where you live, because it will suck."

What don't you like about working at Procter & Gamble?

"I don't like that working from home is a barely acceptable arrangement. It's hard to find roles where you can live in large cities that people actually enjoy living in. It is automatically expected that your career leads life, vs your life leading your career."

"Spread more awareness based on neurobiological facts of what really improves employee productivity and creativity - two key factors that would enable us in this VUCA environment."

"I like the job in general. I like the people I work with, as well as getting the job done in a timely manner."

"Be patient. Promotion within this company is a very slow process."

"Growth and promotions are limited. Utilize all employees, and promote frequent training."

"Training is the key. If you properly train an employee in all aspects of the job, then problems are less likely to arise."
