I've found that there are many benefits aside from the pay and medical services such as events, networking, and a union that gives you a heads up on what's going on. In Pearl River we were at one of the largest sites so they were looking to get rid of the site unfortunately."

"I worked for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals since 1998. Pfizer bought us out in 2008 and in spring of 2010 announced that they were closing our facility. Although the situation today can be described as untenable, I tell everyone that I paid my mortgage, met my wife and completed a college education during my time there and was allowed the freedom and received the backing to make my own choices when it came to the day-to-day operations.
