"Any initiative I tried to take was squashed and put in the category of, That's not your job."

"Play more of a role with employees. Interact with them instead of ignoring them."

"I enjoyed helping people find solutions to their specific needs. The other employees were great people, and we worked together to make customers and each other happy."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Come with a strong knowledge of general pet care and always keep your mood elevated. Even if you may not feel upbeat at first, as the day progresses, the great customers and other employees will make your day worthwhile."

What don't you like about working at PetSmart?

"The company did not allow for company events because their policy was against employees spending time together outside of work. There was very little room to grow and I felt that there wasn't enough challenge to the job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Consider allowing company functions, and recognize employees who work hard for their efforts."
