What don't you like about working at PetSmart?
"I was let go from PetSmart as the store manager over a policy violation, which I admit, was my fault. I had an operations manager and a pet care manager in my store who turned out to be nothing but backstabbers!! It was not the right thing to do. I should have been given a write up first and been given the opportunity to correct the mistake, because up until that time, I was doing a very good job and was running a good store. So, I was not happy at all. The correct outcome was not done. The only good thing about the situation was that after I left, the ops manager I thought was a good, trusted member of my management team and turned out to be a whistle blowing sleazebag, was himself fired from the company shortly thereafter."

What don't you like about working at PetSmart?
"They would always make me work 9+ hours, with no lunch break, while my district manager was in-store. Also, my store director would hire people who did not have legal papers to work with. I found out because one day I was distributing checks and suddenly I had a worker with a whole new name... and the store director knew about this... and the store director still works in the same place, and the associate too."

"PetSmart used to be a good place to work but they fired me when I was there for almost 11 years with no WRITE UPS in my file. Yes, I messed up, but they should have written me up, not fire me. Other managers did much worse than I did and they got a slap on the hand or a write-up."
