"I worked at PennDOT during the summer as an intern for the STAMPP program. It was a great job, set hours, the compensation was good, you were very rarely stuck in the office and it gave me experience working alone (under limited supervision)."

"The PennDot materials testing facility was a very official establishment that followed regulations to the smallest detail. My internship was over the summer so there was a constant flow of specimen coming in several times a week. This created a tougher work environment where accurate testing and precise timing were absolutely necessary."

My lab training was in the bituminous studies section of the lab where I was dually trained in multiple tests of emulsions and pg binders. The test data was recorded and either approved or declined for construction project purposes."
