Patriot Towers Employee

"Patriot Towers promotes itself as a family-run company with family values. However, I was told less than 3 weeks in that other Foreman would be on the job-site standing next to you, and if they noticed you were doing something wrong they wouldn't say anything nor lend a hand- great family! For example, one tower foundation was off its mark by 14 feet but that Foreman in charge and accompanying Foreman still have their jobs? I was told to watch my back, especially to watch out for the most senior Foreman as he had the Project Managers' ear but all he did was a bad mouth that Project Manager & the company- Very Sad to listen to on a daily basis. The Senior Foreman was very passive-aggressive, he would say hi to you with a smile but watch your back, as again he has the Project Managers ear. The Project Manager was very unprofessional and seemed to like to say the F-word, like every other word, as if it was normal. The Project Manager was always flustered and did not know how to communicate well, with me anyway. The Project Manager seemed extremely unorganized as well, wasted a lot of the companies money, and would have us transfer from one job to another regardless of how many hours the jobs were from each other than have us head back to the original job, because of glitches &/or arguments w/client engineers. Foreman is to lead by example but they took advantage of company time by extended their and the labors hours that worked w/them, etc. Work for this company, expect to work, 12-14 hour days and 55+ hours a week in all types of weather, extreme cold, wet and muddy conditions No Matter what but you will get paid for every hour you work even for lunch and you get per diem if you are out of town. Expect to live in a hotel with another guy, Monday-Friday, as you get home on Fridays and leave the shop on Mondays, almost every week of the year. Yes, there are jobs close to home but you have to go where the work is and most of the time it's away from home."
